Awakening, reckoning and renewal all describe forward motion. Even reckoning, which can sound heavy, is about facing the truth so you can move on rather than staying stuck. Judgement is the card of clearing the account and starting again with a clean page.

Pluto, its planetary ruler, governs deep transformation, endings that make room for rebirth. Fire, its element, adds energy and decisiveness. Put together, Judgement is the card of "this is the turning point." Its number, 20, reduces to 2, a number of choice and response: the call comes from outside, but the answer has to come from you.

Upright, Judgement says yes, and now is the time. It is particularly clear for questions like:

• Should I give this a second chance?

• Is it time to make the big decision I keep postponing?

The card often shows up when you have heard the same message several times, from friends, from your body, from your own dreams. Judgement says stop waiting for one more sign. It also favors outcomes that involve evaluation: exams, reviews, applications and any situation where your past work is weighed and found worthy. The yes is earned, not random.

One detail in the image matters for yes or no readings: the figures rising from their coffins are not being dragged out. They are reaching up on their own. Judgement's yes works the same way. It can also point to being too harsh on yourself, judging past choices so severely that you do not let yourself start fresh.
